HOLIDAY HAIR LOOKS

YOU CAN DO AT HOME:
YOUR GUIDE TO

THE PRETTIEST HOLIDAY HAIR LOOKS

— AND THE PRODUCTS YOU NEED TO CREATE THEM!

The holidays are almost here, and if your calendar is full of parties and events, then you may be stressing about your holiday hairstyle. Stress no more, because we’re here to help. We partnered with Aveda Artist Sarah Naslund, an updo educator, to create seven holiday hair looks with a few of our favorite styling essentials. They’ll definitely take you from mistletoe to the ball drop — which one will you try this year?

OLD HOLLYWOOD WAVES WITH THICKENING TONIC

Sarah’s tip: To add fullness to curls or waves, apply Thickening Tonic to damp or dry hair and dry it completely. Wrap small sections of hair around a 1” or 1.5” curling wand or iron, holding for several seconds to shape. Let the waves cool and rake your fingers through to soften.

SWIRLY UPDO WITH CONTROL FORCE

Sarah’s tip: For this festive, soft updo, wrap twisted pieces around the base of a ponytail and pin to secure. Finish with mists of Control Force Hairspray for a firm hold finish with long-lasting style.

A BRILLIANT BRAID WITH SMOOTH INFUSION NATURALLY STRAIGHT

Sarah’s tip: Apply Smooth Infusion Naturally Straight to damp hair and blow dry. Create a visible braid opposite the part side of your hair and pull the braid softly apart to expand it. Starting with straight smooth hair helps the braid to expand smoothly. Roll the end of the braid into a loose bun and secure with pins.

A STRONG STYLE FOUNDATION WITH DAMAGE REMEDY DAILY HAIR REPAIR

Sarah’s tip: Make your holiday hair look its most beautiful! Apply Damage Remedy Daily Hair Repair to damp hair before brushing to help repair damage and protect from heat styling. Make a zig zag section down the middle/back of your head, then create a visible braid on each side. Pull braids to expand, cross them over each other and secure with pins.

WEIGHTLESS, DREAMY CURLS WITH PHOMOLLIENT

Sarah’s tip: To give curls weightless volume and shine, apply Phomollient to very wet hair in quadrants and brush with a paddle brush to distribute it evenly. Let your hair dry naturally or tip your head upside down into a diffuser for max volume.

AN ELEGANT LOW CHIGNON WITH SMOOTH INFUSION STYLE-PREP SMOOTHER

Sarah’s tip: Smooth Infusion Style Prep Smoother is a must before styling to keep your hair protected and frizz-free. Apply it to damp hair before you style, then blow dry. Pull the hair in front of your ears away and create a low ponytail with the remaining hair with a rubber band or elastic leaving the ends of hair tucked in the elastic. Wrap the front pieces around the elastic and secure with pins.

TIGHT CURLS WITH TEXTURE TONIC

Sarah’s tip: To create texture on straight hair, spray Texture Tonic all over dry hair and wrap small sections around a small iron or wand. While hair is cooling, spray Texture Tonic all over again. Loosen curls with your fingers to the desired softness. Texture Tonic allows straight hair, which doesn’t usually hold a curl, to take on a textured style that lasts.
