Introducing our Returnable Shipping Program.

Our commitment to environmental responsibility guides all that we do: from product formulation to packaging choices. As part of this commitment, we’ve launched our Returnable Shipping Program—a US pilot initiative available for eligible Auto Replenishment orders only.

Eligible guests enrolled in our Auto Replenishment Program now have the option to return their Aveda returnable shipping boxes to us and we’ll put them to re-use up to 20 times.¹

We are committed to more sustainable practices, our mission of sustainability is expanded to reusing materials before they’re recycled.

HOW IT WORKS:

Step 1: When your Auto Replenishment order arrives, cut the box’s zip tie seals. (If you send those zip ties back with your shipping box, we can recycle those, too.)

Step 2: Unzip the box and remove your new Aveda products. Recycle the protective paper curbside.

Step 3: Collapse the empty shipping box: lift up the base and fold in the shorter sides.

Step 4: Fasten the outer layers together with the pre-paid return shipping label face-up.

Step 5: Drop off your shipping box to any UPS location or UPS DropBox.

HOW TO GET INVOLVED:

Our Returnable Shipping Program is optional, available exclusively when enrolled in our Auto Replenishment Program and purchase eligible litres.² Launched in partnership with Returnity, an award-winning company with a mission to tackle shipping and delivery packaging waste, this program makes it simple to reduce our corrugate packaging weight by 89%.³

Guests who are enrolled in our Auto Replenishment Program and purchase qualifying litres can sign up by clicking here and adding your email address. The option for the returnable shipper will be stored in your account and applied to your next Auto Replenishment Aveda litre order.

Your next Auto Replenishment order will arrive with the returnable shipper. This inner shipper package is produced with a minimum of 35% recycled content, including 25% Post-Consumer Recycled (PCR) and 10% Post-Industrial Recycled (PIR) material. The outer recycled shipper package is covered with a fabric made with 90% recycled polyester fibers consisting of 70% Post-Consumer Recycled (PCR) and 20% Post-Industrial Recycled (PIR) materials.
